Hospitals in Hampshire are leading the way with a new initiative in infection prevention.
The Queen Alexandra (QA) Hospital, Portsmouth and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester have agreed to take part in trials of the new the Hygiene Handle from Pure Hold. The trials are expected to take place in August and September 2011.
The Hygiene Handle, which has been developed in conjunction with infection prevention specialists at QA, is designed to help control infection by improving hand-hygiene standards.
